  • Annual Induction Ceremony

    Our annual Induction Ceremony will be held this Thursday, April 24 beginning at 4:30 pm. It will be held in Gilberston Hall, G202. A presentation will be given by Dr. Rose Lange on the Nursing Honor Guard.

  • Pain Program

    The SVSU Nursing Department with Theta Chi will offer a virtual continuing education program on Pain Thursday, Wednesday, April 16th, 6:00p-7:00pm on Teams. You can join early, at 5:30 for the general business meeting. 
    We are pleased to welcome Kaylee Pobocik, PT, DPT, ATC as our presenter for the CE event. 
    There is no charge, however RSVP is requested by this Microsoft Form link no later than 4/13/25. Donations to the service program are always welcome. 
    SVSU faculty, staff, students, Theta Chi members, and friends are welcome to attend. 
    This is only offered as a virtual presentation.  
    Participants who attend the entire event and return the completed evaluation will get one contact hour toward re-licensure. Certificates are distributed through the SVSU Badge System, you will receive an email to retrieve your certificate 24-48 hours after the program. 
    Saginaw Valley State University’s accredited nursing program is approved by the Michigan State Board of Nursing  to provide continuing education for nurse licensure renewal requirement for attendance at this program.    Authority:  Public Act 368 of 1978, Rule 2(g) as amended.  
  • Virtual Implicit Bias Program- Part 2 February 6th

    The SVSU Nursing Department with Theta Chi will offer a virtual continuing education program on Implicit Bias Thursday, February 6th, 6:00p-7:00pm on Teams. 
    The learner objectives are as follows:  
    1. Identifying your cultural intelligence (CQ) 
    2. Discuss the impact of implicit bias on health care 
    3. Counteracting bias for increased inclusiveness and acceptance of others 
    There is no charge, however RSVP is requested by this Microsoft Form link no later than 2/3/25.
